Its name derives from the Monreale Cathedral (groundbreaking in 1172, completed in 1267) in Palermo, Sicily, southern Italy. Thomas Tsavdaridis, founder of the company of the same name Profumi Monreale recalls:

“I came across the beauty of the Monreale Cathedral and appreciated its long history. Being Greek Orthodox, I was so moved by the impressive coexistence between the Byzantine and Norman, Gothic, Renaissance art of the Cathedral and the Baroque architecture, I decided to name the perfume brand I created “Monreale”. Our vision is to create a family atmosphere with the rich scents of incense, which allows you to find happiness in the smallest things. Designing a new perfume can be compared to creating a work of art: we combine all the right ingredients to compose the unique and captivating character of every single fragrance we create.
